BPSC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the BPSC Eligibility Criteria in the official notification for the BPSC 70 Exam. Candidates must understand the eligibility criteria — such as age limit, nationality, and educational qualification — before applying for the vacancies advertised under the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE).


The candidates must keep the following details in mind before applying for the BPSC 70th CCE:

  • The BPSC 70th lower age limit is set at 20, 21, or 22 years (post-wise), and the upper age limits vary by category. For General male candidates, the upper age limit is 37 years; for General female and OBC candidates, it is 40 years; and for SC/ST candidates, it is 42 years.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India or a permanent resident with the relevant documents to prove the same.
  • During document verification, candidates must provide the required documents. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the recruitment process.

BPSC Eligibility 2024 — Educational Qualifications

  • For most posts, candidates must have completed their Graduation from a UGC-recognized institution.
  • For Child Development Project Officer posts, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and choose one of the following optional subjects for the Mains exam: Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, Labour & Social Welfare.
